Pennsylvania Health Funders Collaborative releases report, Bringing Together Physical and Behavioral Health Care: An Exploration of Current Practice and Future Directions in Pennsylvania
October 2011: The Pennsylvania Health Funders Collaborative is a partnership of nearly two dozen Pennsylvania health philanthropies committed to enhancing the health and wellness of citizens of Pennsylvania. The Collaborative was interested in learning about the possibilities of promoting the integration of behavioral health services in primary care settings.
Therefore, in 2011, the Collaborative commissioned a report on the state of Pennsylvania practice, successful models and other factors that contribute to the readiness to establish integration of behavioral health care services in primary care settings. Released in October 2011, Bringing Together Physical and Behavioral Health Care: An Exploration of Current Practice and Future Directions in Pennsylvania, explores the benefits of integrating behavioral health care and primary health care, as well as the barriers, models, pathways and opportunities for philanthropy to advance integrated approaches to the treatment of the whole person.
