Grant Award Process
Request Procedure
Organizations seeking foundation support must complete a Grant
Application using the foundation’s application forms and
attach the supporting documentation required by the foundation.
The Grant Application includes a grant application summary sheet,
proposal narrative requirements, budget form and budget component
definitions, supporting documentation requirements and application
checklist. Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis.
Download the
grant application packet.
Applicants will receive verification of receipt of application
by email within ten (10) business days. All applicants will receive
a written notice advising them of the foundation’s action.
Please do not contact the foundation requesting a status update
on your application.
Application Review
Applications are reviewed to ensure requests are consistent with
foundation grantmaking guidelines and that all required application
materials have been submitted. Organizations whose proposals
do not meet the guidelines are notified promptly. If further
information is needed for consideration, the foundation will
contact the applicant. If a site visit is required, this will
be scheduled at the convenience of the foundation and the applicant.
The application review process takes approximately five months.
Applicants receive written notice after approval by the foundation’s
board of directors in December.
Grant Award
Grant awards are made in late December of each year. Upon making
an award, the foundation will send a grant award packet to the
grantee. The packet will contain the following items:
- Grant award
letter indicating the board’s positive response
to the request and the amount awarded.
- Grant Agreement to be signed and returned promptly to the foundation
by the grantee. This Grant Agreement outlines the mutual responsibilities
of both the grantor and the grantee.
- Guidelines for Preparing Grant Reports. These grant report
guidelines explain the programmatic and financial information
that should be included in the report. The foundation requires
grantees to file a final report upon completion of the grant
program.
- For multi-year grants, interim progress reports are required
at the end of each grant year.
